The Federation of Piling Specialists
Formed in 1964, the Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) represents piling and foundation contractors.
FPS' principal objectives are to maintain and improve standards and seek technical excellence in all of its members' activities in carrying out piling, embedded walling and other specialist foundation techniques.
All Members are audited by an independent auditor on a regular basis to ensure that high standards are maintained in technical ability, quality management, safety, training and environmental practice.
The Safety Forum meets regularly to monitor accident rates, and share information on good practice.
The Technical Committee ensures that members are kept fully up to date with new developments, represents the industry on BSI and other Committees, and prepares technical guidance for clients and non specialists.
The FPS are members of the European Federation of Foundation Contractors and the National Specialist Contractors Council.
